Support Period & Updates

Firmware updates are delivered over-the-air (OTA) using Golioth's device management platform via the VSP-GW1 gateway. The gateway checks for updates every 6 hours over a TLS 1.3 connection to Golioth's update service. Updates are signed with Ed25519 keys and verified by the secure bootloader before installation. Golioth's staged rollout system deploys to 5% of the fleet first, then 25%, then 100%, with automatic halt if error rates exceed 1%. Sensors connected to the gateway receive updates during their next check-in cycle (typically within 15 minutes). A/B partitioning ensures automatic rollback if the new firmware fails health checks within 60 seconds of boot.
